Cramber Tor, Dartmoor |
Cramber Tor sits high over Walkhampton Common, about 1.5 miles due south of Princetown. It has views of Burrator reservoir, Leather Tor and Sheepstor. The tor itself is small, compact and surrounded by 'wet' ground. Nearby there is a muddy pool known as Cramber Pool made as a result of tinners excavations. Also nearby, is an Ordnance Survey marker at SX 592712. The area is widely used by the military for “dry” training although the public still has access. |
