Green-veined White |
Latin name - Pieris napi Flight period - April to August/September Wingspan 5 to 5.2 cm, 1.6 to 2 inch. A common butterfly which prefers damp areas such as damp grassland and woodland rides. The upper wings are white with one or more spots, the under wings have prominent greenish veins. The Small White is similar but lacks the green veins. |
