An active daytime flyer, the Six-spot Burnet feeds on flower nectar. Its has metallic blue-green forewings with 6 red spots warning predators that it is distasteful to eat. It lays its eggs principally on Bird's-foot Trefoil which form its caterpillar's food plants.
