Latin name - Branta canadensis Canada Geese were introduced from North America approximately 250 years ago and has gone wild spreading successfully around most parts of the United Kingdom. It is a large goose with a wingspan of up to 183cm (5 feet) with a black head and neck with a white throat patch. Usually found in flocks, it eats roots, grass, leaves and seeds liking short vegetation near bodies of water. |
